T-Systems Ups its Global Data Center Footprint With New Arizona Facility

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich., Jan 08, 2009 /PRNewswire via COMTEX News Network/ -- T-Systems, the
business-customer segment of Deutsche Telekom, is expanding its global data
center footprint with the addition of a new 34,655-square-foot facility in
Tempe, Arizona, bringing the number of T-Systems-managed data centers to more
than 80 worldwide and nine in North America.

The data center will be used to service the information technology needs
of a major commercial wireless broadband network provider.

To deliver this solution, T-Systems has entered into a collaborative
relationship with Digital Realty Trust Inc., a San Francisco-based owner and
manager of corporate and Internet turn-key data centers.

"Our partnership with Digital Reality Trust complements our North American
data center strategy and enables T-Systems to focus on our core competency of
providing a standardized and efficient IT infrastructure service for our
clients," said Heike Auerbach, CFO, T-Systems North America. "This strategy
and global data center capacity, combined with our global telecommunications
footprint delivers complete Information and Communications Technology (ICT)
that enables our clients to focus on their core businesses.

"The collaborative arrangement with Digital Realty Trust delivers agility
and flexibility for both T-Systems and our client because it eliminates the
need to invest speculative capital into excess data center capacity, and it
positions us to rapidly meet the specific capacity and geography requirements
of our prospective clients," Auerbach added.

Digital Realty Trust's move-in ready space also dramatically reduces the
time it takes to get the data center up and running. The turn-key data center
is also highly energy efficient -- it leverages the best practices and
award-winning green data center programs that reduce operating costs.

"We are pleased that T-Systems selected us as its data center facility
partner," said Michael Foust, CEO of Digital Realty Trust. "Our unique
approach enables companies like T-Systems to respond rapidly to market
opportunities by dramatically reducing the time to market for new data
centers. Our customers reduce financial risk by partnering with a company with
world-class engineering and an operations team."
